6 Healthy Tips For The Best Way To Lose Weight

So many people are looking for the FASTEST way to lose weight but the BEST way to lose weight is to make it a lifestyle change.

 The basic principles to losing weight are:

  •  Burn more calories than you consume
  • Improve metabolism by exercising daily
  • Avoid unhealthy foods
  • Eat more good foods
  • Have good genes

Ok, so most of us aren’t lucky enough to have good genes so we can’t do much about that one. Luckily, the other 4 principles are completely within our control and they can all contribute to the best way to lose weight.

Here are 6 tips that I've picked up from Nutritionists: 

  1. Eat a big breakfast

I know a lot of people say they can't bring themselves to eat breakfast but eating a hearty breakfast can help you lose weight fast. Breakfast is the most vital meal of the day and a well balanced meal here will really lessen your appetite during the day. You'll also have the entire day to burn the calories eaten at breakfast. I usually have rolled oats and/or poached eggs. 

  1. Small meals

The rest of your day should consist of small light meals. Aim for another 4 to 5 small meals throughout the day. By sticking to small rather than large meals you are constantly burning calories without feeling hungry.

     3. What to eat

Having veggies (raw is great) will assist in the fastest way to loose weight. Sticking to very lean red meats and only eating meat once or twice per week is best. Fish is a low fat alternative as is chicken.    

    4. Snacks

Luckily, you don’t have to forego snacks to lose weight. Your snacks simply must be low calorie. Consider an apple, strawberries or a bunch of blueberries as a snack. Not only are they healthy but also delicious.

    5. Exercise

It's important to exercise because you want to lose body fat and not body muscle (my partner P/T has drummed this into my head lol) Depending how fast you wish to lose weight, you may need to exercise intensely everyday. This could mean running or walking for at least 30 minutes once or twice per day or workingout at the gym. You should also consider  incorporating some resistance training into your routine as the gaining of muscle results in the faster loss of fat. 

  1. Drink plenty of water

I have to keep reminding myself of this one but it really does make a huge difference. Your whole body will benefit from drinking plenty of water. Not only will it help you get rid of the extra fluid your body retains, but it will flush other toxins from your system. Being fully hydrated also will help increase your metabolism.

 The best way to lose weight need not be painful or boring. Sticking to a well controlled food plan and a regular exercise plan will have you losing looking and feeling fantastic in no time at all.
