Do you think that positive thinking can solve your problems?

some people blame me for not being positive enough. I have some problems that I am not able to solve. Therefore I do not have reason to be too much positive. I am positive but with sense of dissapointment.

1. I don`t think positive thinking on its own can solve any problems but, a positive approach to your problems will bring solutions that You may want to use. I would suggest looking at some of Edward De Bonos` work on thinking. It may seem daft but it is all good stuff.

3. Your belief system only filters the way that you perceive problems and events in your life. Thinking positively may help you to deal better with the stress that is caused by your problems, but positive thinking alone cannot solve problems. That said, it is a difficult question to answer without knowing more about the problems. If your problem involves people not liking your negative attitude, then yes, positive thinking will probably change your attitude and thus the way you interact with others. If your problems are marital or financial, then thinking positively might help your attitude, but will not solve the specific problems.
Having a positive outlook on life certainly makes life easier, but it is more important to view things with perspective. If your expectations are high, then you may find your reason for feelings of disappointment. If you consider minor problems too overwhelming, then you will suffer the consequences.

4. I understand what you are saying. Just because you are disappointed with the way things are going in one aspect of your life doesn't mean there are no positives. You can be positive about the things you can control.

5. Positivity is constructive and negativity is destructive. Problems are like puzzles that require many different types of resourcefulness. These resources may be from within or they may be external. In order to find these resources optimally, and thus solve your problems as best, as quick and as easily as possible, you need positive thinking. Positive thinking will remind you of hope and the solution is just over the horizon and at any instant the last piece of the puzzle will click. Any forms of negativity diminish this hope and make it harder to find answers because you no longer expect them to exist or that they will be found. Positive thinking is a pathway to a solution that is sort of like the difference between driving on the freeway or through the streets. The end may not be there yet, but positive thinking will get you there faster.

6. Positive thinking may help, but sometimes it will just disappoint you..

When you think positively, you are confident with yourself.. Like, for example: You think and BELIEVE that you would pass the exam. You are confident about it. Then after hearing the results: you failed the exam, you would eventually feel very disappointed, exhausted.. it can cause depression.

There is medical research that shows that a positive attitude has good effects on health and cognition.
Solving problems is helped by those aspects, yet that is often not enough.
Much of the difficulty we have in solving problems has to do with the fact that humans are beset by two major confusions and bounce those around as though they were solutions.
The first one is the delusion that our lives are separate. Even though that is not true, most people, most of the time, act that way. Dr V.S. Ramachandran demonstrated that our eyes can't see the connections and visual input overrides knowledge.
The second one is that life is a conflict of opposites. For example, male-female, day-night, good-bad.
Those are examples of differences in certain aspects along a scale of values. None of them is opposite.
Those two confusions complicate thought paths so that finding solutions is more difficult.
If you google, "Quickly+Transcend+Your+Circumstances" just like it is shown, you will find a detailed path to solving you problems.
The method has never failed me, and I have had to surmount many deep problems.

8. In your Q, you stated that whether positive thinking can solve your problems. Overall I say, YES! No matter what kind of problems and situations you face. But, not ALL problems need only positive thinking. Positive thinking is usually a driving force to motivate your core drive of something. Let's say if you want to solve your work or school project where you need a lot of ideas to do it and make it happen. YOu don't know the result yet, but you have the determination to do it. So, by thinking that the outcome will be good and satisfying will help you to proceed with the project. So, if you maintain the positivity in yourself, even if the outcome of the project isn't that excellent or as what you expect it to be, the positive thinking will help you to find another way to solve it. Can say the opposite of negative. Negative thinking is where when one thing fails, the person will think bad about their own ability and try to escape what can be change to be better, lose hope etc, to try in another way, in order to get the satisfying result.

Another example is, positivity is a help tool for you not to give up in life or whatever you are doing until you achieve what you desire, whether it is bad or good. Even criminals, drug lords, gangsters are positive about their evil plan. Why not you, if your intention is good? It is the positive thinking that make even the poorest people in the world feeling happy, peaceful, optimist at the most difficult situation.

Nice day! ^_^
