1. tiz the way life is!
why is it so much harder to ride a bicycle UP a hill than to free wheel DOWN one?

2. Hi!

Try meditation to clear your mind of all negative thoughts and relax and let in all the positive light.

3. Get out side met new people and expect the worst and hope for the best!

4. Mental concentration and altering your behavior is more a matter of psychology than philosophy. Perhaps you should consult a psychologist, not a philosopher.

5. Learn to be aware of your thoughts, riding in a car for example, or walking out in nature. When you realize the thoughts are negative, then visualize or fantasize about a positive past experience (vacation in Hawaii, a day spent with a best friend, holiday with family, etc) -- or a possible future experience.

If your parents will pay for it, there's a short-course "therapy" called CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) that helps "implant" new thought-patterns to replace a few old, chronically negative ones:

6. The truth is everyone everywhere has gone through some kind of battle. And we always will. Thats life, there are a series of unfortunate events. Some people live in shacks, and theyre the happiest people I've ever met. Some people live in mansions and fly to paris whenever they like......and their the unhappiest people I've ever met. Its all about point of veiw. Im still mastering it, i'm young and have these things called hormones ;) but seriously, its a lot easier then it seems. if you think about positive thinking too much, your subconcious will be aware of it. If you just are, if you just wake up in the morning and say "well todays gonna be a good day" and leave it at that, it will =) Go where the wind takes you! <3

7. Its hard to focus on positive thinking because the devil doesn't like when we think like that! He wants us to think negatively and become depressed and he wants to drag us down. I have a problem with thinking negatively and I get depressed from it almost every time and I have noticed that when I get depressed I have self pity, a bad attitude and most of all it takes the focus off of my Savior (God) and puts it on me and my 'problems' which is right where the devil wants it.....anywhere except on God! Hope this helps and I hope you find a solution soon:)

8. dont try 2 stress on 2 become 'more' positive just think positive and do what ur heart does, dont care abt others, trust in god and do ur best and most imp thing b urself

9. You need to make it a habit. Habits takes time to learn and make into habits. Don't give up because you seem to fail, just start all over again. Leave yourself messages, post it notes here and there and notes in your calendar. Short positive messages that will remind you about what you are trying to do.

Personally I have an online calendar that sends me mails about the things I've booked in it and I put that kind of notes in it. That way I get a reminder now and then.

10. Stop watching The Secret, it won't help you. Get into meditation. Purify your body of "bad things". Soda, McDonald's, etc. will imbalance things in your body and make you unhappy. Drink only water. Purified water.

11. How do you view the setbacks you experience? We all suffer various hard trials in life, some of us more than others. Why, though, do some people seem to bounce back from hardships, ready to try again, whereas others seem to give up after even relatively minor difficulties?

If we are to believe that we can meet our future goals, we need to build up a record of setting goals and meeting them. If you feel that you do not have such a record, it may be worthwhile to think seriously about the goals that you set for yourself. First, do you have any? It is all too easy to get caught up in the routine and bustle of life without stopping to think about what we really want out of life, what matters most to us. Regarding this practical principle of establishing clear priorities, we again find that long ago the Bible said it well: "Make sure of the more important things."—Philippians 1:10.

12. Start by thinking about how well the negative thought patterns have served you in the past.

Love and blessings don

13. look around you we are bombarded by negative news daily that it can become a struggle to stay positive. I can only say what helps me stay positive, like thinking how lucky I am to have all I have, by not jumping to conclusions or judging people, by going out of my way to do things for others when they least expect it. Make someone else smile and you'll smile too!

14. Feel that past happenings are past,During that time the circumstances are like that so The happenings are like that to hurt us,now there is no problem ,leave it.
If we were hurt by people,By thinking, it is their habit no problem , leave it.
All of our life is made of some good and bad happenings,we have to ready for that,
whatever happening we have to try to feel free of happenings, and convert our feelings to our happiness.

15. somehow our minds tend to dwell on negative events, hurts etc....I guess because it feels it can solve it the longer it looks at it, but in actuality, it makes us more vulnerable. I think when we let go of things then and there, it cannot cling to us, but if we have rehearsed it on our minds over and over again over an extended period of time, its harder to get rid of, but it can be done, I have to deal with negative thoughts a lot, even if I'm working/studying it's going on in my head and the whole day goes and I just can't seem to get rid of it. What I've done is I took some post-its and wrote down certain things to get my mind back on track and on positive things and/or the things at hand and I have them around my computer because I'm using the computer a lot now for studying. I'll list them here: (You will see some Christian messages here and there because I'm Christian, and also I write these messages in Caps for it to stand out in my mind when I read it) every time I find my mind thinking about something negative, I'll look at these messages.

1.STOP THINKING NEGATIVE THOUGHTS

2. LET IT GO

3. THINKING NEGATIVE THOUGHTS ALL THE TIME IS NOT NORMAL, THINK ABOUT GOOD THINGS GOD HAS GIVEN YOU/ GOOD THINGS IN STORE FOR THE FUTURE

4. THINKING ABOUT THIS SITUATION HAS STOLEN TOO MUCH FROM YOU ALREADY. IT IS NOT WORTH IT! LET IT GO!

5. BRING TO REMEMBRANCE THAT GOD IS WITH YOU WHEREVER YOU ARE

6. FORGIVE HIM OR HER

7. THINK ON THE WONDERFUL THINGS GOD HAS PLANNED FOR YOU

8. GIVE GOD PRAISE AND GLORY ALL THE TIME THROUGH YOUR STUDY/WORK

9.THINK GOD'S THOUGHTS FROM HIS WORD

10. LET GO OF CONDEMNATION OF SELF AND OTHERS AND PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS THAT COMES FROM GOD

11. FOCUS ON GOD/ON YOUR WORK. EVERYTHING ELSE (THAT'S NEGATIVE) IS A DISTRACTION FROM SATAN

12. RECOGNIZE THE BATTLE FOR YOUR MIND

13. START THINKING POSITIVE THOUGHTS

14. KEEP DELIGHTING IN GOD AND CONVERSE WITH HIM THROUGHOUT THE DAY

15. ONLY THINK/SAY POSITIVE THOUGHTS/THINGS ABOUT YOURSELF

16. STOP JUDGING YOURSELF. WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK ABOUT YOU REALLY DOES NOT MATTER

17. THINKING ABOUT THE SITUATION WILL NOT SOLVE ANYTHING

These are personal but I'm sharing it here because I know the struggle I have and hopefully it will help someone else too.

God Bless

16. Because fixing up the mess you're in doesn't work like that. "Negative" thoughts do have their importance, y'know. Perhaps that's why your mind doesn't automatically reject what it knows to hold some truth in it.
