Can you become a millionaire just from writing songs?

Hello there just a question i had in the back of my mind so i thought i would get it out there so is it possible to become a millionaire from writing songs ?

1. yeh...if the song u wrote become famous, u will get commission from it.

2. Sure, if someone sang it and they became famous and rich and earn a lot money for the song, then you'd get a portion of it as you wrote the song.

3. Absolutely. If you managed to write a song that was used widely - whether through the charts or used on an advert, for example.

But even more importantly you have to make sure you retained copyright for the song. That's where you get into publisher's rights, look up PRS for all that.
