1. You can't have no in your heart. -Joe Dirt.
That just about says it all. Telling yourself you cannot do something is a self fulfilling prophecy.

2. Meditating on favorite verses from the scriptures is always a great way to get a positive word from God.

3. Positive thinking leads to positive results, as simple as that.
Your mental consciousness projects into reality, meaning if you have a positive outlook on life, positive things will come your way. It's karma but on a mental level, and it is very real.

Peace and Namaste

4. I am a negative person, so I am not a positive person. But I live by the maxim, Faith without works is dead. So this is my motivation for answering these questions and doing good things in the world. I go to Church because we are supposed to be faithful to God and also I like going to Church.

5. I am always negative. I just find it hard to see anything positive in anything. I hate most people, I hate our government, and to be honest the ones I hate the most are the idiots that walk around trying to be positive and see a silver lining where there is none. I just want to tell them to pull their heads out of their as_es.
Do I see a negative impact on others because of it? Damn right I do. I can clear a room faster than anyone I know.

6. Positive thinking is how I overcame my problems with depression. I used to have periods of deep depression until I had an epiphany one day and realized that I was in control of my own mind and emotions. That I could choose to be happy. For me, negative thoughts always spiral down and feed upon themselves so I avoid them with every ounce of my being.

7. Our mindset has a great deal of impact on our spiritual lives. As Christ followers, we must set our minds on the things of the Spirit.

"Those who live according to this world set their minds on the things of the natural realm, but those who live in accord with the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spiritual realm, for the mindset of the natural person is death, but the outlook of the spiritual person is life and peace, for the thought processes of the natural world are hostile to God for they do not support or submit to God's law, neither can they. So they who are of the natural world cannot please God." (Paul, Romans 8)

(Some sisters and I challenged one another to memorize this chapter, so I am practicing on you!)

As for the "power of positive thinking" or the "promise" or whatever, those are nice ideas and of course it's a good thing to keep a positive outlook, but a positive outlook alone is not good enough. We have to remember who we are and most importantly, Whose we are, and who is our Abba.

8. I believe that negativity destroys. You can set the tone at work or wherever by your own attitude, or by buying into someone else's attitude. I am trying to stay positive, my life has enough downers already, if I want to build something on them. I have already done enough of that!
