Do you believe that thinking positive actually leads to having good things happen?

I hope it does. I tend to think that being positive and friendly leads to others responding in the same manner. And it lessens the chance of conflict happeneing. But I am not sure if theres any science to the whole thing.

1. I don't know if it changes the rest of the world or not but it has been proven that thinking positively improves your overall health and well-being.

2. Thinking positive isn't enough - but you are right about being friendly. Three steps to success: Self-discipline, time management, relations with others.

You need to think of yourself first, then others. Sadly this can be taken as selfish, but once you have conquered the first two steps, relations with others (what you are talking about) should be easy.

I don't think there is any real scientific "field" of thinking positive, but people who are positive and try to make things work usually do a lot better than negative people...unless those people are rich.

3. yeah

4. read the book the secret.it was on Oprah.it explains it all.i bought the book shortly after i watched Oprah and i ended up getting a new job i went from making a little over 10,000 in a whole year to 26,000 in 6 months it is all in positive thinking.read the book it will explain it all=)good luck

5. You will recognize the good when it comes if you are positive.Being negative makes one narcissistic.

6. You are absolutely right. We create our own hell. If we take intoconsideration the feelings of others and can tune into their mindset or thinking, then we would not voice the opinions or views we feel so momentarily feel compelled to voice....

Life is our creation, create with love, sow the seeds of kindness and reap the joy of peace and joy.

Be Loved.

7. I think changing your attitude and outlook can change the way people react to you, hence helping your job prospects and also can be good for your health. However, bad things just happen and ill health happens, no matter what your thoughts are. I don't think meditation or prayer or "thinking happy thoughts" are going to cure my friend's type 1 diabetes for example.

I believe personally in the law of three (whatever you put out in the world comes back to you threefold) but those are my personal feelings. I do think it would help society in general if people thought more positively, were more openly compassionate and more engaged in their communities. While books like "the Secret" may help people change their own thinking, I feel that it's a little insulting to my intelligence and an oversimplification of ideas that have been tossed around for years. It's just presented now in shiny "Oprah-approved" packaging. You cannot simply think yourself into a happily ever after but you can work really hard to improve your life and the lives of others. Worldly rewards will come or they won't. But money does not equal happiness anyway.

8. Yes i do believe that. THere is actually a book about the whole theroy, its called The Secret. It was featured on Oprahs book club and in my opinion, its a very good book.

9. I know of a company who bases almost all of there training on PMA (positive mental attitude) It's a sales job and they found that if they keep there employee's positive, they get much more results and they've been in business for over 80 years. I can't remember the actual psychological term used (i'm drawing a blank at the moment) but you can influence what other people think. You can tell the most beautiful woman in the world she's ugly and if she hears it enough, she'll believe it. The same can be said the other way. You can tell an ugly woman she is beautiful and if she hears it enough she'll believe it. I'll never forget the story I heard from a friend. There was a guy at his work and every three to four months a bunch of the employees would get together and when they saw the guy, the would simply say "Hi bob, hey you don't look so good."and sure enough every time they did this he went home sick from work. He felt fine but he was influenced into thinking he was sick. The same can be said with a positive attitude. You can help somebody think positively about a situation if you talk positively but if you're negative you'll influence them in the negative way.

10. know the science of common sense-cheap and clear as crystal.
Other way-forget the sience for the time being ;only to come up positive the with experiences you construct thta science you may wish!
