I think my fate will leave me better than a lot of people. How can I change this mindset?

This is a mindset that I am aware of in myself. Also I feel that all people are equal. I think this perspective, that I will end up better than most people, is false and insane based on the counter belief that everyone is equal which I hold. How can I escape this insanity which makes up my life?

1. What makes you think everyone is equal? Is a blind person equal to a seeing one? Is a poor person equal to a rich one? Is a smart person equal to a mentally impaired one? Despite the inequality, that still doesn't determine one's fate, whether it will be good or bad. That's something difficult to predict. There could've been a happy, well off productive person who unexpectedly and tragically died in the Haiti earthquake thereby suffering a bad fate. Nobody can predict their fate including what holds for them the next hour even. The luge Olympian died in seconds from a crazy unexpected accident. I have no idea if he was better or worse than anyone else. There were better athletes but the cause was likely due to the construction of the slide. Our fate is not determined by how much better we might perceive ourselves to be than others. There's a crummy drugdealer whose life is not lost while the innocent athlete's was. You think you're better than others so you will have a better life and fate but as you know those two don't go hand in hand. It's only a matter of time until you get cancer or heart disease or a freak accident so count your blessings instead of judging others against you.

2. No this is not insanity. From times immemorial, these feelings have produced great men. That does not mean that it is against the principle " All people are equal" Yeah, all people are made equal by God, given equal opportunities to better their life. But that does not mean that all people will face life in the same way. No it cannot be. You see your fingers in your hand are not of the same height.
Likewise, there can be dissimilarities between different people. A person like you who think your fate will leave you better than others is a positive-minded person. You should not be tagged down by such sadonist feelings. Just think what will happen if everybody thinks like this. Then the world will go to anarchy and disaster. That is not what God intended. Hence shed your negative thinking and proceed on a firm belief that you will excel others. In fact, that is what is needed of every human being. And there is nothing wrong in it provided it does not lead one to evil method to accomplish it.

3. It's that mindset that will get you places in life. It's you drive and determination.
Every one is equal. each one of us has the ability to feel and think the same way you do.
The only thing that makes it unfair is there inability to take advantage of what they are capable of.

Why dumb yourself down to there inability and negative mindset.

5. Learn about death and fear it, then learn to not fear it. Yes we are equal, equally unimportant.

6. By meditation. You have to go out of ur consciousness otherwise it will damage ur brain cells.

7. You seem to be a true believer. So, take guidance from a mentor from among your close relatives or friends, on whom you have full trust, and act according to their advice or suggestion.

8. What is your issue with equality? It sounds like to me you are struggling with equality as an issue. Equality is not a mind-set and it is not insanity. It is not that we are all equal either - when you think about it, we are all different, each and every one of us, is unique...so I think it is wrong to characterize everyone as being "equally alike." It just isn't true. None of us has equal talents, equal capabilities, equal intelligence levels, equal ability to abstractly comprehend. What we DO have in common that we are equal about, is our civil and constitutional and human rights. That is because, these principles of human existence are above the petty differences of inequalities like the difference between talents or the abilities to comprehend or solve problems. If you are a great actor and I don't have the ability to act, we are not equal in terms of acting skills or talents - but both you and I are equal when it comes to the right to human dignity, when it comes down to equal access to education, housing, jobs, medical treatment, the right to speak freely without fear, to practice your religious beliefs, the right to not be forced to self incriminate - I think you get the picture. There are things in life we all are not equal to, while there are other things in life which are NOT tangible, such as the right of freedom - which we all have in common and have an equal right to. But I would say, that above all, our right to human dignity, to be treated fairly, equally and justly without discrimination is intangible and universal. We must clearly bear in mind the differences I am speaking of here.

So make clear in your mind what is what and then you won't have a problem with it.
