What is a good baseball hitting mindset?

What is a good mindset to have in baseball to hit the most effective? I want to have a good mindset so i can be as successful as i can. How can i keep my confidence with just a few words running in my mind?

1. when your in the batters box you dont wanna think about anything
but if u cant do that sing a song that pumps you up!!

2. The best approach is to clear your mind and approach every pitch with the mindset that it's going to be a good pitch to hit, so plan on swinging. During the wind-up, get ready to swing, then, if it's a ball, you can wait til the last minute to decide not to swing. It's a lot easier to adjust to a bad pitch and not swing than it is to decide too late you should have swung.

3. just go up there and clear your mind the last thing you want to do is go up there and tons of things running through your head. what i do when i go up to bat i always say to myself "look fastball and adjust" i forgot what old pro said that but it seems to work for me. and thats what im going to continue to do until it isnt as effective as it is right now... good luck

4. the key is to be smart. you have to work at it physically and MENTALLY. it's tough to concentrate and watch the pitcher when youre not up or in the on deck circle because dugouts are naturally distracting, but if you get an idea for what the pitcher throws and talk to your team mates before you go up, you'll have feedback as to what he's throwing, what he has control of, and all his other tendecies. if you can get it into your head that you know the pitcher, you will be a lot more confident at the plate. the difference between guessing and making an educated guess makes all the differenec in the world for me when it comes to confidence at the plate..and im a number 3 hitter.

5. "Bat on Ball". Dont go up their trying to knock everything out of the park. The most efficient batter is the one who can produce bases. Getting on base when it's needed and knocking in runners. Why do you think Ichiro is so great? He's not a power hitter but he gets hits!
