What would be the mindset of a criminal released after a long sentence?

I was just looking at the release dates for prisoners in the ADX supermax prison in florence.. and the earliest release date is like 2019.. Being released from this prison after a day would be crazy. but some of these hard core criminals been in there for years and years to come. When they get out, theyd probably just commit more crime. what do you all think?

1. I think that it would have to do with the crime they committed and the reasons why they committed the crime. If they killed someone in self defense or if they were protecting someone I'd think that they'd just be freaking pissed cause of all the time they wasted, they wouldn't kill again. Now if it was a rapist or serial killer... Old habbits are hard to break, but then again maybe they learned their lesson. It all depends on the individual.

2. I all think that you all who live within 100 miles of that prison should secure your homes to the max, and sleep with a loaded 12 gauge at your side.
