Teachers, why do you think the average millionaire's gpa was a 2.92?
According to Dr. Thomas J. Stanley's book The Millionaire Mind, the average GPA was a 2.92. That was after an extensive survey of over 1000 millionaires.
Why isn't that average higher?

1. Considering that that covers a lot of athletes and Entertainers, I would have to say that is about right. Let's not even get started with reality show winners. Welcome to America, where we reward stupidity.
2. Millionaires tend to be people who are very good at sports, very good at business, or very good at having rich parents. None of those people tend to do well in school. Very few academic subjects ever pay that well. Of course, most of the people with low GPAs will end up poorer than the average person, not far richer.
3. It's not about how much you know as how you use what you know!
4. that was someone trying to sell their book. It wasnt a study. Who knows if those stats are accurate? He got them by simply asking a select group - no control.
He also stresses in the book that the average millionaire is religious.
You cant make blanket statements about education based on one book - just as I cant make blanket statements about religion from that same book.
