What are your experiences with positive thinking?

1. Negative thinking works more however much you try positive

2. Coz Negative thinkers seems to want more in life not as the Positive, they tend to be happy as what the present life gave to them.

3. This expression positive thinking is a mishap. There is only one kind of thinking that is possible and that is the logical kind. The rest of our "thoughts" are actually emotions and the positive parts of them are due to taking an optimistic view.

My experiences with taking this attitude are very satisfactory because it raises my state of happiness, which is the name of the game. But please don't confuse terms.

4. Because it is not that easy for some, I tend to look more to the negative but work hard on my attitude and try hard to be positive but it is a full time job. I know someone on the other hand that is very positive the just look at the good side of everything, even though there is not one they find one or make one up. It keeps their joy. I would just say it the way it is. But being positive really does make you have a better life and quality of life. For some it is much harder but the can still get there.

5. Thinking positively is a good thing even tho it is false.
You will see what you want to see and not what is really there just because you want to see the good side of things.

I'm not a negative thinker before you will say I am but i'm a realist. You can concentrate on the positive things only but this won't mean the bad things are not there you just ignore them. This ignorance is actually a bad thing because you limit the aspects of things to one side only.

6. I had cognitive behaviour therapy to change my thinking into something more rational.
Being positive is really hard, but the medication sure helps. =P
I've found I'm coping better with life now that I trick myself into positive thinking. The negative thinking is always trying to poke through, which is when I start yelling at myself to shutup. At least I put up a fight.

7. Positive thinking definitely enhances your life. It helps to see the world in an entirely different perspective. You can feel the positiveness when others start treating you positively. You can see the changes in children very fast when you treat them positively than with adults for adults are already biased in their approach. It is not easy to get into a positive mindset if you are a negative person. Like any other mental training it takes considerable time and effort. But it is worth the effort. People are still negative thinkers because they are reluctant to change. This is similar to the fact that smoking is bad for health yet so many of us are smokers.

8. Even the most positive people I know have negative thoughts. This is human nature and we all have glitches like this. A healthy balance of both is more productive, we can't all be bouncing off the walls happy and positive all the time, they have medications for that. Going the other way dwelling on the negative, will and can cause stress and serious illnesses. Besides no one wants to hang out with someone who is to much of either one.

You will be what you feed your brain so, feed your self a diet of balanced thinking. Your brain is a wonderful thing use it and you will find many rewarding experiences in life. If you sit on the side lines with your negative thoughts, you will find plenty of company and they are not fun people.

When someone wants to be negative tell them, "hey lets not talk about that it brings me down and I'm in the mood for good things". This includes gossiping about other people.

Sometimes negative things need to be talked about, but not to be carried around with you like garbage. A little negative stress keeps us balanced and ready to work.

9. The power of positive thinking can change and improve your life. Maintaining positive thinking and attitude will drive you to success and happiness, positive thinking is a mental attitude that admits into the mind, thoughts, words and images that are conductive to growth expansion and success.

10. with practice and common sense it is a great asset. Negative thinking is too easy and requires less effort.
