Where can I get some free mp3s with affirmations to increase faith in myself...? ... and reduce my anxieties? I'm studying nursing, and have lots of other responsibilities, too... and I love what I'm learning, but I find that whenever I sit down to study my textbooks I start feeling all panicky and can't concentrate on what I'm doing. I'm feeling overwhelmed, but I know this is something I must complete (and therefore CAN complete)... Can you please help me to find a way to stay calm and confident while studying, and to increase my belief in myself that I can do this (and be focused)? mp3s are very accessible, and are great because little effort is involved (and I feel like I can't make much more effort than what I'm already giving). If hell is the ultimate affirmation of free will part 2? It seems that some people are having a hard time understanding what I typed before, so I will try to make it really really simple. If total freedom is chaos(freedom without boundries is chaos) and total chaos is total is free will(being able to do what ever you want and being able to do it to who ever you want to), and hell is the ultimate affirmation of free will(a place were people go who reject God and His ways-love, mercy, and justice-), can there be happiness for the regular person who lives a good live but rejected God and His order and finds them selves among people, demons, and the devil who rejected God and LIKE to rape, torture, beat, and mutilate others?

I'm making subliminal messages with my free recorder and Audacity...? I've created my own positive affirmations and exactly what I want to accomplish. Subliminal/Affirmations? For the past 8 months, I have been using subliminals to change my inner beliefs. These subliminals are ultrasonic and contain positive affirmations to change beliefs. The first one I used helped my self-esteem (which it did). Later, I tried a more intense product that was instructed to be used for 6 months. I made it 3 months in and started having resistance to my social anxiety, which worsened it so I switched to his other intense product to make you more confident (which he recommended I do first). I have been having panic attacks maybe once a month during these times, they weren't bad and in fact, I think they may have been induced by my cigarette addiction as I started smoking more and more, chain-smoker, over the summer and started last year. I quit those other subliminals and uses his short-term overcome anxiety subliminal which took effect very quickly (1-2 weeks). The script is below: I now focus the unlimited power of my subconscious mind upon disconnecting myself from any and all anxiety. I am now and always completely calm, tranquil, relaxed and at ease. I now automatically and effortlessly let go of, release, disconnect from and reject any and all anxiety. I am now completely free from any and all anxiety. I now automatically, effortlessly and permanently overcome any and all anxiety. I am now, and forever, completely free from any and all anxiety. The further I got in the panic attacks got worse and worse. I also quit smoking at the same exact time so I don't know if it was the nicotine withdrawals causing that. I was having attacks from 6am until 5pm when it first started taking effect. Since then, I've had no Social Anxiety or paranoia/being self-conscious like I did before quitting the subs/smoking and using this sub. However, now whenever I go out I don't consciously think about people looking at me. In fact, I've been making more eye contact, been more confident. The thing is, when I do go out, my body tenses up, I have panic symptoms without any adrenaline rush, I have no conscious anxiety like I did in the past. I get dizzy and a feeling of fainting, if I get excited, I get some similar symptoms. At times it feels like my anxiety is decreasing as opposed to coming back. Or at least, it feels like it's inside my head but I can't bring it out, consciously, perhaps like a battle going on in my subconscious mind about my anxiety? I also have similar symptoms/panic attack from 10am until 3-5pm daily. It is easing up though but still is uncontrollable for the most part. I discontinued use of it to let all the effects fade as I only used it for about 2 weeks. Slowly things seem to be coming down but I want to see what you think and if it has to do with how I've been feeling lately. The only other cause would be me quitting smoking and irrational fears associated with that.

How do you Cultivate Loving-kindness in your life ? The Cultivation of Loving-Kindness. Metta is characterized as Amity (friendship), goodwill, and Loving-Kindness! These are only a few words to describe this mental state. There is No better way to know it than to study it, and then practice it. Metta is a totally unselfish and a pure state of mind which brings much profit to oneself and to others. The cultivation in this state of mind is called Meditation. When we cultivate Loving-kindness it becomes strong, powerful, and quite useful! It brings us abundant, deep and intense peace and happiness! It eradicates the anxious thoughts and as a result provides clarity in thinking, increases awareness, increases cognitive thinking, improves memory and concentration and focus, and helps one perceive and see things in the present moment as they truly are(& for most people this is the only time in which they are really alive) The meditative practice of Metta is also a very effective means to overcome anger and to build up the virtue of patience, compassion and altruistic joy. It is also the means for healthy relationships and provides the means for family happiness and peaceful societies. Beginning Practice for Loving-Kindness. This can be practiced sitting with a erect posture, or lying down (if you are not sleeping at the time). Many people think giving Metta to oneself is selfish, but it is not ! The near cause of Metta is the lovable person or being. Therefore we have to see the favourable aspect of the person or the being. This refers to enmity within/negative Kammic/reaping what has been sown; also catastrophies and accidents. Mental suffering refers to mental anguish, frustrations, irritations, impatience, despair, worries & anxieties, depressions, fears, phobias & all mental/emotional disorders, and all that is present to no end, as well as the unsatisfactoriness of conditioned existence. “May he or she have peace and maintain a healthy attitude.” (3) May he or she be free from physical suffering. Physical suffering includes all forms of physical discomfort, ill-nesses, disease{dis-ease, as well], all ailments, and all incompleteness. A good aspiration during lovingkindness meditation might be “May he or she be healthy and strong” (4) May he or she take care of himself or herself happily. This means that we desire him or her to be able to carry out all the activities in his or her life and maintenance of life such as waking up, eating, caring for his or her livelihood, caring for the children, spouse, house, work, peacefully - without stress and worries, and sleeping peacefully as well. During Metta Meditation you might say in your mind, “May he or she not experience anxieties and obstacles while taking care of him or herself, family, and while at work.” The principle is that we make each aspiration we do so “With Metta (lovingkindness, friendliness, and goodwill)!!” This will arouse more Metta to arise from within us, in order to work through us toward ourselves and others in life !! Too many positive aspirations/mental affirmations for the beginner during loving-kindness Meditation might not bring rise to increased Cognitive Thinking, and Concentration, so keep it simple (four aspirations/mental affirmations is good to start with). The goal is bringing goodwill toward others, everything else, the benefits that arise from this process, such as bringing forth patience, helping us to live a life of Metta(lovingkindnes, forgiveness, goodwill, tolerance), increased cognitive thinking, peace, etc. are all secondary, but will come about as one practices Loving-Kindness Meditation daily.

How can a woman break free of being interested in men who are like her father? I have a friend whose father was generally very mean to her the whole time she was growing up. He was a close-minded, un-supportive, and probably misogynist guy. He was always criticizing my friend, telling her that she's fat (she's not) or that her plans for her life were stupid. In short, he was a cruel, critical man, not a good father. Fast-forward to today. Is PRISON or DEATH really enough for a person with NO REMORSE? I just watched some doco on the television where the person brutally killed several people on a course of 5 years. I mean how can you justify life in prison or quick and painless death for somebody who has taken more than one life and is not showing any signs of being sorry to what theyve done? In their minds... they think they are right and their pride is their affirmation of this. Theres got to be better justice than just physical isolation in prison. It seems to me that when the person killed one person that theyre going to be locked up for life but when they killed two people... their sentence was increased to double life. I mean... that doesnt make any sense... they dont have two lives to give. It seems like their getting a discount for the two killings... "kill another one... get no additional sentence free!" How about the family and friends that the victim left behind? Life will NEVER be the same again for all of them. This is NOT JUSTICE. Even made worse if they dont believe in hell. What is the Freedom in political terms? I mean, if democracy is the political system where we, the people, chose our way of living, studying, dressing ourselves up; is where we elect our governors, etc., why is not an expression of non-freedom the fact that we, the people, cannot choose the political system itself? I've never know that a democratic country has, in a election, chosen to be a presidencialism, a monarchy, an oligarchy, a dictatiorship, etc. Is not it the privation itself of the so called freedom? And the ones who cannot do the things that the riches can, are they also free people? They don't have money all right. can i give free advice now? i have been hung up over a female coworker. not that i wanted to date her, but she is used to one sided friendships and that is just not my cup of tea so i ended it. well i finally got out there again and i have met a really awesome woman who really has her stuff together. it just dawned on me this morning that it seems like we are really respecting the fact that we both have a life before meeting each other. i hope this works even as a friendship as it is a fresh breath air to meet someone who is low on drama and has their stuff together and isn't selfish. well i just wanted to put it out there as an affirmation and to help others move on from toxic relationships or friends. it is very difficult and i thought i could not even start to do it as my life has has been wrapped up with this person in my thoughts for the last three weeks. start living or start dying y'all.

(In My Opinion) "General Welfare" Certain People Interpret this to mean that the Government is obligated to supply Social Welfare to people, which is incorrect, Social Welfare didn't exist back then, General Welfare in Reality refers to whats "good the the Country as a Whole" "Declaration of War"(Or in other words, The power to Start Wars, not necessarily the power to declare them) Congress shall have Power...] To declare War. James Cone, the chief architect of Black Liberation Theology in his book A Black Theology of Liberation (1970), develops black theology as a system. In this new formulation, Christian theology is a theology of liberation -- "a rational study of the being of God in the world in light of the existential situation of an oppressed community, relating the forces of liberation to the essence of the gospel, which is Jesus Christ," writes Cone. Black consciousness and the black experience of oppression orient black liberation theology -- i.e., one of victimization from white oppression. One of the tasks of black theology, says Cone, is to analyze the nature of the gospel of Jesus Christ in light of the experience of oppressed blacks. For Cone, no theology is Christian theology unless it arises from oppressed communities and interprets Jesus' work as that of liberation. Christian theology is understood in terms of systemic and structural relationships between two main groups: victims (the oppressed) and victimizers (oppressors). In Cone's context, writing in the late 1960s and early 1970s, the great event of Christ's liberation was freeing African Americans from the centuries-old tyranny of white racism and white oppression. American white theology, which Cone never clearly defines, is charged with having failed to help blacks in the struggle for liberation. My parents took me to Mardi Gras I don't know why, but I wrapped myself in the excitement of it all suddenly feeling near ten foot tall. I was just a wee thing, a Red head in curls and looking around I saw some girls pull up their shirts showing their breasts, to get beads thrown in their way to request. I looked up at mom, she turned her head away I guessed we weren't gonna have "The talk" that day. I was small and slight and try as I might I didn't get to catch a thing; but time was done and I loudly cried. A man came up in front of us, "Why are you crying my sweet child?" He was dressed silly and strange, with so many beads he couldn't keep arranged. "Don't shed any tear my dear. I was sent here to gift you like a Christmas day." and he placed on my neck all of his beads, smiled and said "Now be happy, and go on your safe way." Catholics: Who is correct my Parish Priest, or my Parish Deacon? I had a discussion with my Priest about the Limbo for the Fathers (Bosom of Abraham) and he was very informative on the subject about how Christ descended into the Limbo for the Fathers and preached to the souls there. He also informed me that Christ took all the souls with Him into Heaven when He ascended into Heaven on Pentecost. Now there was a reading during Sunday Liturgy the Deacon read the Gospel of Luke 16:19-31about the Bosom of Abraham. Both my church's Deacon and Priest were calling the Bosom of Abraham Heaven? Now I got confused, so after Mass I asked my Parish Deacon about Limbo for the Fathers being the Bosom of Abraham and he responded that the Church no longer teaches about Limbo. So I went home and looked it up in the Catechism of the Catholic Church 2nd Edition and there it was. So who is correct? Paragraph 1. Christ Descended into Hell 632 The frequent New Testament affirmations that Jesus was "raised from the dead" presuppose that the crucified one sojourned in the realm of the dead prior to his resurrection. This was the first meaning given in the apostolic preaching to Christ's descent into hell: that Jesus, like all men, experienced death and in his soul joined the others in the realm of the dead. What can I do to validate and improve on my theory? Is my theory correct or erroneous or partly true if so why ? What are it's strengths and weaknesses ? Man suffers because in his identity and view of himself there Is always the inseparable feeling of him being tied to suffering because he feels human. The ego is poison and the limitless desires it calls for even when satiated returns. So to eliminate the suffering he either chooses to lose all sense of self any form of identity and becomes what I call "No Man" in becoming selfless servant he gradually loses the goal of his service to be from 'I serve because serving my fellow man is the way to bliss' to 'I serve because 'I' love my fellow man'..over time the latter sentiment is dropped because the person has become an embodiment of selfless altruism and his humanity is lost making him free. The other method makes a person a "New Man" he simply uses service and affirmations to create a new and spotless identity whereas the "No Man" destroys all self identity completely The 'No Man' and the "New Man are destined to save our planet.
What would you do? Previously Married to a man- Now in love with a woman!? I was reluctant to post this question but after a couple days of procrastinating and just thoughts wandering through my mind- I finally felt compelled to just go ahead and ask- Just to 'hear' YOUR views and perhaps opinion and/or advice.. OK here goes.. I am 28yrs old and was married for about 5 years. My Ex Husband and I have a 3yr old son (We have been separated for about 2 years now) Infidelity was one of the reasons we separated but also the stress and drama that surrounded my husband's other kid that I didn't know about. He had 2 (older) kids that I knew about prior to getting married. Although I felt like it was such a burden to carry, I figured that they were just kids AND they live out of State with their mom.. Anyway, little did I know, there was yet another child out there, about a year and a half older than mine (our son happens to be the youngest) Anyway you can imagine the details that unfolded. Tension, Trust was broken etc... eventually- I decided that I couldn't take it anymore. I didn't trust him- made me wonder- what else don't I know?? I moved out on Thanksgiving day two years ago (Yeap; Thanksgiving day!) and I have since been living a stress free life, taking care of my son etc.. at work, I confided in a friend of mine, who helped me through the stress and emotional turmoil this whole situation caused me. She and I met at work, after work and even spoke on the phone. We talked for about a year or so.. just sharing our experiences (She was married for 4 years, divorced- never had kids) She is quite a bit older than I am... As the months flew by, we started getting closer and our relationship slowly took a turn for the unexpected- we developed this strong chemistry and deep feelings for each other (outside of a normal girl-girl relationship) We found ourselves talking until the wee hours of the morning, when we were together; we just wanted to reach out and touch, rub hands... long story short- It escalated into a deep/intense/ passionate and YES sexual relationship. I have to say that I have never been involved with a woman before, neither had she- but what we felt was so beautiful that it scared the crap out of me! I have NEVER EVER felt that way with my husband, let alone any man... At first I thought it was some kind of emotional rebound for me, or that perhaps its some of sexual fantasy that we both had and didn't know about....and that it would end in a few weeks. I kept telling myself that because I didn't want to believe that I was in fact falling in love with a WOMAN! I kept telling myself, I am not a Lesbian...I don't sleep with women... just some affirmations (I guess temporary consolation or perhaps justification) but much as I 'brushed her out' emotionally, it just got intense. A little over a year now and we are still seeing eachother- YES we live together (I still have my own place, she has her own but we spend a lot of time together) I find that even when we argue or fight- I just love her more, we can never go to bed mad...we even make love during an arguement (Anyway, you get the picture, LOL) Out of now where: My husband wants me back!! He said he wants us to work on our marriage, be a family again and stuff- and I am like..'What?!!' I don't even know what to say to him because there is so much drama I don't want to go back to! I realize I have typed a lot already so let me ask the question: Would you go back to your husband JUST because it is the 'right' thing for the child (to have mom and dad under the same roof as opposed to two female partners?) If I go back, I know I would be miserable, don't trust him and of course I can't imagine myself making love with him again...I can't bring myself to go that way again- BUT would I be denying my son the right to be with his Dad? What is more important? Me staying where I am happy and raise my son in a warm loving environment, or go back to his Dad, amidst all tension and misery just so he can have a 'normal' family? Is the onus on God to prove to us that he exists or is the onus on us to prove that he exists? Many atheists posit their affirmations on lack of definite proof of God’s existence…merely on lack of proof .what kind of proof do people want if indeed such a being exists. To prove to man his existence through manifestation on a material plane would not prove his existence simply because people refuse to believe even with proof staring them in the face…Jesus being a classic example For a physical world to be made out of nothing, it has to come from outside matter, outside time, outside space…whether through cosmology or evolution. I think as human beings it is no accident that we think of all issues outside our own physical capability, spatial situation, and temporal situation. For example we dream to do things we cannot humanly do(in the now) till we prove otherwise, we analyze the meaning of our situation and the results of our choices, we think of our past present and future. All these and more make us unique when compared to all other living organisms. Anyway the point here is we have a sentient, cognizant mind and spirit. All that being said if we can look at issues beyond our physical constraints. We can think about a time or place even if we do not exist in that time or place. Then is it upon God to prove that he exists? If we are to go by free will and intelligence, these attributes seems no different than bodies moulded to defy or obey specific physical and natural laws. If physical laws apply to our bodies then intellectual laws must also apply. They have an almost exponentially larger parameter in which they apply but they still do. A parameter that is not self determined but determined by intelligence higher than ours .For a higher intelligence to show itself to a lower intelligence to be doubted on a physical plane is something it would anticipate wouldn’t it? All that being said where does the onus lie?

You seem to be under the impression that everyone who does drugs is addicted to them and steals to get them. that has not been my observation in life. My observation is that everyone is addicted to something that makes them feel good. For some it's sex, some it's work, some it's money, some it's the internet, some it's drugs, some it's alcohol, I have never met someone who is not addicted to something on some level. It's not the action or the stimulant, it's the feeling the stimulant provides. Yes some chemicals are physically addictive, but only after they are used for a period of time. This is why even after the physical addiction is kicked, the person will always have the urge to do it. That's an awful vindictive opinion. Just my opinion, but you shouldn't be So judgmental. For the record I'm liberal as well. Liberal is a person who has the ability to think freely with an open mind and changes their mind based on new information. I know the TVs labels a group that doesn't fit that definition as liberal. But it's no different than them labeling a group that wants more government as conservative. Plus I've seen a lot of your answers and you seem to be pretty level headed most of the time. This answer is below you I think.
How do you act around someone who has a grudgey personality? I'm definitely becoming much more spiritual as I get older. The right answer is: if someone has a grudge against you, let them have that anger. Speak affirmations saying, "I am free of this and choose to be happy". Easier said than done, right? It's harder when you're a female. There are some chicks who are so passive-aggressive and will never admit that have a grudge against you but your intuition tells you otherwise. I have a "friend" just like this; she has a stubborn personality and at this point, I've accepted it. There's nothing more I can say or do than what I've already tried to do with her. She's someone who likes to manipulate things; she was actually someone who (I felt) was disrespectful towards me. As the hostess/friend, she didn't react or do anything (not that I was expecting her to) but I found her lack of reaction very hurtful and I respectfully stood up for myself. She didn't like this and since then, there's always been weird tension; what doesn't help is she has such a passive aggressive way of handling it (even having someone do her dirty work for her and confronting me for her). Anyhoo, we're polite/cordial and I've eventually I've just killed her with kindness but have been cautious. My gut reminds me constantly to never forget what happened with my mind saying, "if you want to surround yourself with positive people, she's not a good example. Good friends don't disrespect you like that and she may have been nice in the beginning but people change. She's changed because you've changed and sometimes, people don't like it when you grow and become a better person." It may seem as if I'm the one with the grudge (haha I know, right) but I've noticed she's been so much more "passive-aggressive" with me as years go by. It's very one-sided and is the "greatest person" when it benefits her. For example: i tried my best to go to her kids' events, her birthday, etc... but the one or two big events I didn't go to, I was the "bad guy" (i had prior commitments). Yet when I had few important events, I barely heard from her, not even a "congratulations". Also, she's very different when it's the two of us but with other people around, it's "fake nice mode". So how do I continue to deal with this? I have an idea but it's easier said than done...
