Where can I find a list of healthy addictions? I really don't think this site is a healthy addiction. It spurs laziness and stupidity. Gets your brain either on a "I'm getting the fuck outta here" mindset or a "I'll give quick and stupid answers to fit in" mindset. Neither say much for the value of the website. I want a list of healthy addictions. That, or a way to work toward making an addiction healthier. Say for example, using this site to be a better person instead of just being a short answer addict.

Does anyone know the college that puts out a list of things professors need to know about incoming freshmen? It's a list that the press picks up on every year that explains the mindset of incoming freshmen. (Ex: This year's freshmen class does not know a world where Caller-ID did not exist, etc) Anyone know what I'm talking about? Can you provide a link?

The Beloit College Mindset List stereotypes incoming freshmen in an attempt to avoid cultural confusion and awkwardness between students and professors. I was reading the list for my class and couldn't help noticing how oblivious the list makes students seem to generations and events prior to the year they are born. It seemed pretty inaccurate to me. Why can't I understand the liberal mindset? I graduated from college. (paid my own way) I have lived in America, Europe, and Asia. Studied the four major religions in the world. How Can You Respect Some Of The Posters Here? They come into Yahoo Answers asking questions that are really statements, attacking either the left or the right (depending on their agenda), then attacking those who dissagree with them. They try to push their agenda. Most make claims they can't prove and stereotype nearly everyone not sharing their mindset. And they won't leave any contact infro. And the few that do give contacts list false e-mails. And they, of course rarely have 360 profiles. Seriously, even if some of these puppets have a legit point to make I still have no respect for them and their lack of moral fiber. Do you? Super-duper, my agenda is being as honest and as fair as I possibly can, never saying anything that I know is a falsehood, never saying anything that claims a groupe of people as one voice and never making excuses for errors.

Do you need business sense/mindset to pursue a career in Accounting? Currently my mother and I are having alittle argument. I've been wanting to go into a business-related field for a quite awhile, preferably Accounting. I am thinking of taking a few Accounting courses at the local college to get my "feet wet" so to speak and to figure out if I like it or not. My mother took business related courses like Accounting and Taxation about 25 years ago in college. She didn't get the material at all, and from her experience, she thinks that I won't get it either. She believes that I do not have the business sense/mindset to pursue Accounting and that I'm possibly wasting my time. She would like for me to continue on with my Computer classes (again, she didn't get computer science either but I do) and graduate. However, I believe the IT industry is over-saturated and most jobs are shipped over-seas, judging by the list of so many unhappy IT professionals that are now jobless, that I see online. Not only that, but my heart isn't in it anymore. When I wanted an IT job, I wanted to repair and fix computers, however, that position doesn't bring in the income that I'm looking for so I'm alright with a desk/office job. Is she right though? Do you need business sense/mindset to get into Accounting? Or it doesn't matter because those can be acquired through learning and experience?

How can I get out of this horrendous mindset and cheer up? I live in the USA and everything is about getting a job, paying rent, staying afloat, not getting evicted, not getting raped or mugged, not getting scammed, not getting socially excluded or blacklisted...the list goes on. My world is the black cloud above, all the issues listed above. Truly, there is no joy when you think threat is just around the corner. The strong prey on the weak. I can't even control my emotions. Therapy and medication have not worked. Mental health outlets are just another swarm of people, probably backstabbing each other and saying bad things about their patients (I was witness to a horrible behind-the-scenes office politics situation that happened at my mental health clinic and destroyed the therapy I got...so I trust NO ONE.) There are many good people in this world, but they are only on the internet. There are a few good people i know in real life too, but most of my interactions turn out negative. I'm trying to find ways to stay focused and manage my time better. Any suggestions? I'm a full time college student. I go to class during the day, and work part-time. Sometimes I spend too much time distracting myself with things I don't need to be doing (lounging,etc). I find myself getting more and more stressed out as I'm doing homework late at night, losing things in my apartment and being late for everything. Sometimes I get so behind on things, that I don't even know where to start. I'd love to hear about simple ways I can motivate myself to approach tasks and tackle them, instead of blowing them off. Do you use materials such as calenders, post-it notes or to-do lists to keep yourself on track? Are there things you tell yourself or is there a certain mindset you put yourself into?... HISTORY The disastrous effects of slavery and colonialism on the physical aspect of the Africans in the Americas, the Caribbean and on mainland Africa have been well documented by a host of European and African-American historians including Basil D Davidson, Walter Rodney and Professor Jeffries. Few writers have focused on the debilitating effects of the mindset on the emotions and the psychology as Carter G Woodson( 1875-1950)was probably a pioneer when he addressed this condition in his book - The Mis-Education of the Negro. Later, Dr Na'im Akbar painstakingly outlined the psychological effects in his book- Chains and Images of psychological slavery. Professor Joy Leary recently attempted to put the psychological trauma concept in the public domain during a recent lecture tour in London but, few Africans wanted to even contemplate this concept as an explanation for some of their behaviour towards each other. It is of paramount importance to understand the disastrous reality of the sate accurately described by Woodson and take action to treat it. "When you control a man's thinking you do not have to worry about his actions. You do not have to tell him not to stand there or go yonder. He or she will find his "proper place" and will stay in it. You do not need to send him to the back door. He will go without being told. In fact, if there is no back door, he will cut one for his special benefit. His education makes it necessary". Woodson showed a lot of foresight in his early detection of the destructive side of the slave/colonial mindset. It is a pity that, most Pastors and self-appointed "community" leaders do not recommend this book to the many families who come through their doors. They do not even bothered with a plan of action to treat this mindset. Examples This mindset certainly has a blindfolding effect eg African girls aspiring to be like their "blonde Barbie dolls". African men dream of marrying "a Barbie doll" type of woman as soon as they arrive in Europe and or UK/USA/Canada, so as not to have "too black" children. Michael Jackson's obsession with his costly body- altering project. It also causes US Africans/Afrikans to focus on the body, material gadgets, short cuts. The physical environment of the homes is often out of balance with the people who inhabit the space. Their homes always have a blonde type Jesus on the walls but no other famous Africans like Bantu Biko, Thomas Sankara etc. The African educationalist and parents both on the mainland, Caribbean and the Americas have avoided including or making the early and middle years curricula more relevant to our developmental needs. This opportunity to change our course of history is missed again and again. At organisational level, colonise minded but the super qualified committee members are often afraid to put decolonisation strategy and or Pan-Africanism into the constitution of their organisation. This also affects the type of name or identity they take on. Eg the NAACP-The National Association for the Advancement of "Coloured" people. One would have thought that aparthedist South-Africa racial policies would have caused this organisation to re-think it's chosen but, they not change from NAACP to NAAAP. One could only guess when you start your organisation with white liberals/ or jews in leadership roles, the de-colonisation agenda never became a priority for this organisation. The OAS/AU is no different. It has been in existence for over 50 years and still cannot bring itself to be known as a Pan-Africanist organisation thus, it remains a toothless nationalistic organisation. Even when organisations put Pan-Africanism at the forefront eg PAC in South-African, the de-colonisation process and project, which is necessary for health and longevity of the organisation is not a priority either. Well meaning or naïve activists continue to take a gamble by hoping against hope that, a few committed and reliable people could suddenly change 400 years of psychological damage facing the African worldwide. Things could have been different if, the PAC was able to capture the interest and support of the majority of the 24 million native South-Africans and their rands, to keep the movement financially buoyant and turn it into a political powerful force in South-African society. The mindset nutures self-hating , self- destruction and confidence lowering . This is evident in the practice of self- harming through bleaching the skin, straigthening the hair and looking to Europe and European institutions as saviours. It also makes killing each other almost acceptable. The eminent African-American Bobby E Wright (1984) explained in his book "we have never been trained to kill Europeans" but, we seem to be able kill each other (black on black) violence instinctively. It also makes us have a warped and unrealistic view of our reality. It may cause some, like Dr Kenneth B Clarke to say," race is irrelevant". Even African-America Dr Alvin Poussant, who used his qualification avoid addressing the current colonisation condition. He used his stint in Ebony Magazine to deal with the a few middles class anxieties. What a shame! The Slave/Colonial mindset-the Trojan Horse The Europeans understand how important the psychological warfare project is to their continued hold on Africa, which is why they got their missionaries to influences chiefs and other leaders in Africa, to send their young children to their missionary schools. At these missionary/faith-based schools, young children were indoctrinated on a grand scale. These young children come from cultures where, almost all adults are feared and or certainly not questioned, made the work of the European teachers easier. This is why it should not alarm us or surprise us that, Mobutu, Savimbi and their cronies behaved in the way they did to their own people and their own resources. The mindset, the lust for power and foreign money-from the USA mainly kept them destroying their respective countries, in the name of capitalism and the other G6 powers. The USA officials who paid Savimbi through Mobutu millions and millions of American tax-payers money to literally destroy a revolution and 2 countries, have never been brought to justice. If both of these colonial minded individuals did not die, they would be still destroying the country and squandering their resources for self-aggrandisement, with Washington's approval. The foreign powers/handlers knew millions of people were being tortured, kill, maimed, punished and starved of food and other life necessities, in their interest. Whilst all this was happening in full view of other Africans, many of them in the Caribbean and continued going to the states" to make it". Meanwhile Africans affected by these individuals and American money and foreign policy, eventually started heading for the UK and the USA seeking "refuge". It should not surprise us at the way the Europeans view certain individuals. The American state had to get rid of Malcolm X by any means necessary. The Belgian/USA/UK governments saw Patrice Lumumba as an uncompromising character when it came to his understanding of independence. France could not stomach an independent minded Thomas Sankara who wanted to transform Bukina Faso in the interest of it's people. The apartheid South-Africa did not dare allow Bantu Stephen Biko to live-he was too clear about his position and his understanding of the social/economic/political situation. He wanted all or nothing. Walter Rodney exposed the hypocrisy of Europe's role in Africa-it became a real annoyance in European academic circles. The under-development was the strategy and the means to achieving this outcome was to nurture their own "loyal Africans". Off course the "loyal Africans" are another name for the colonial minded. Rich men and women often have their "kept women" Well, so to rich Europe has their "kept men". France has Francoise Compoare of Bukina Faso. The USA has theirs in the form of Paul Kagame. Spain/USA has Obiang Nguema of Equatorial Guinea- Africa third largest producer of oil. Shell and the UK and other oil companies operating in Nigeria have been keeping the Hausa dominated army and government since 1970. The CIA/USA/France had army man Hissen Habre- a man who was less than friendly to USA's imagined enemy Gadaffi. Chadian named him, "Africa's Pinochet". USA supported the Duvalier family for 30 years and off course Savimbi in Angola. See William Blum(2001) Rogue State. Chapter 17. The Consequences If African thinkers and educationalists alike continue to neglect the content of early and middle years curricula, they would be fighting a losing battle against the slave/colonial mindset, capitalism, fashion and mass-media. The same way, one cannot expect to put new wine in an old wineskin so to, one cannot expect the slave/colonial minded to suddenly change his or her learnt behaviour. This behaviour has been around for the last 350 years. It might have started as, a means of coping in strange and often hostile societies in the Caribbean and America in the late 17th century. Joy Leary would argue African communities must admit the existence of post traumatic syndrome before, the treatment could be sought. No admission means that, this major debilitating psychological condition would linger and fester away. Off course when a few like, Thiongo'o(1938-) changed his behaviour in his adulthood, by going back to his Gikuyu name and writing in his own language rather than English only, is inspirational to rest who remain in this regressive state of mind. He used his book-Decolonising the mind: the politics of language in African literature(1986) as a platform to encourage African challenged about their attitude towards Africa and or NJAC. Ngugi wa writers to write in their own language to make their books more meaningful to Africans on the continent. It is not only about writing in one's own language although, that is a positive start. It is about having a core teaching curricula that could be used world-wide. Even if people write in their own indigenous language but continue to see Europe as the solution to their problems-the colonised mind remains untouched. The writer applauds the work of Haki Madibuti and Dr Karenga and Molefi Asante. The African need more people like the above, if we are to be taken seriously. Why are members of NJAC( National Joint Action committee) and their 36 year old organisation in Trinidad, still viewed as not worthy of support from the majority of African-Trinidadians? The slave/colonial mindset, which makes people ridicule members for re-claiming their African heritage via taking on African names. One can often hear African-Trinidadians and other Africans born abroad saying in a most offensive voice, "I am not African" when asked about their identity. Thai is the colonial mindset expressing their ignorance. What do we begin? The logical place for decolonisation to begin is in the home, with parents taking the lead. The early years 0-11 is the crucial time to inculcate the Afrocentric values. It means that, we have to be prepared to build our own nurseries and create our own culturally inclusive and sensitive curricula. The parents must be re-educated. It is almost pointless waiting until a child becomes an adult, when he may or may not be exposed to Pan-Africanism. All the research available would agree that, the pre-natal and early years are the most important educating years. Ideally, the decolonisation ideals should be embedded in the early years curricula, The Community leaders and families should make attempts to discuss post trauma syndrome and it's effects openly and proactively put into place some short term and long term remedies. 3 African American writers who wrote the The Black Parenting Book did not pursue the de-colonisation project in their book either. There are 17 chapters in this book yet, Pan-Africanism and or the issue of the slave/colonial mindset were not addressed in a very active way. There chapters on Family Traditions and Spirituality without making mention of the importance of Kwanzaa. There was a chapter on " Black and Proud" not African and proud. There should have a chapter on how and why Africans came to self hate and hate all things African. Where did it all begin? The book tackled particular parenting approach, which was used by African American parents but, they did not attempt to give the psychological or economic reasons why most African parents worldwide use the authoritarian model rather than the authoritative model. Authoritarian- powerful, assertive/aggressive (verbally or physically adult leads or makes all the decisions, which are imposed on child. May be highly critical. Parents may be likely to use shouting and hitting. Parents may even talk about "I want you to fear me". Authoritative- Parents use reciprocity and a democratic style, which allows child to lead but establishes safe limits and boundaries. Parents are likely to use encouragement, provide choices and highlight consequences and positive feedback and use time-out and put penalities in place, as part of their disciplining package. It might have been helpful to explain why some African parents use the former than the latter? It would have been more useful to write the book in some African languages and use a work -book with exercises to involve all members of the family. This book could be described as the product of a well meaning qualified but, obviously apolitical professionals. The writers tackled all the symptoms but never ventured near the core causes. They missed an opportunity to focus on the link between the type of the society, which produces such parents focusing on a post-colonial/slave/capitalist, racist society such as the USA. Conclusion. The Decolonisation project and treating post trauma syndrome are as necessary to Africans, as oxygen and water are to humankind existence. Neither can be avoided any longer due to it being "too sensitive" an issue. The message to all the Pan-Africanists/Humanist individuals, families and organisations , which are always short of committed, reliable and discipline foot soldiers is this, put some of your efforts and money into the 0-11 years olds and an African Parenting project, based on an Afrocentric model and treatment for psychological trauma and other self-harming behaviour. If any individual/family or organisation is interested ion the guture well being of Africans- the aforementioned approaches are vital. Otherwise, a plethora of colonial minded and dishonest Pastors from diverse Christian sects, the mass-media, fashion, cars and short term attractions and whatever other European cultural left-overs would grab the minds of the majority of Africans. The slave/colonial mind is dangerous to Pan-Africanist and African humanist alike. Those African "kept men" or Europe's trojan horses will continue the pauperization policies of a very rich continent. They will repeat policies and slogans without even analysing them. They will like the major obstacle to progress, changes, self-empowerment and unification of African peoples. Instead of enabling and building capacities and re-skilling people, they will disable, de-skill and pauperize people. The colonial minded knows nothing else. The Europeans using their white skins as authority continue to pamper and encourage their "kept men" to the detriment of the majority of Africans, who continue to suffer and to be killed with the weapons made in the USA/UK/Israel and other European countries. Irritating mindset of people!? Why do people care too much on their social status? They want to be on the "Popular list", they want to be part of the cool ones, they want people to recognize them as a cool person. Plus, I hate it when people care too much on what others are going to say, they want to please almost everyone. Sometimes, it's very irritating when people backbite, talk about the media, talk about their social status. They pick the wrong topics. Why do people love backbiting instead of talking about philosophy or contributing to humanity? Why do people do love small talks all the time? I mean, it's ok to do small talks sometimes, but when each of their topic is all about "their cool lives", "their unique life", "their awesome life." It's irritating! Do they really care about humanity? Do they want to make a difference? It seems like they just want to live their life, please other people, have a secure social status, then ..... to the same things over and over again. Sometimes I'm just irritated when people talk gossips instead of "how to solve the problem of global warming" or " how to solve the problems of poor individuals." Can you give me your ideas regarding this situation? Isn't this alarming? more and more people talk about how wonderful their life is and how they their "friends" appreciate them, instead of talking on the great stuffs -- Like astronomy, what can we do to save our planet? or philosophy, how can we contribute to humanity positively or perhaps why they were given sufficient needs -- knowledge, source of information, money -- and not using them wisely. Why am I in this mindset for my writing? My Dad died 4 years ago, and I thought I was over it, but then I noticed something that kind of worries me. I'm an aspiring novelist, and I have recently noticed that in all my stories I have a main character that is generally a teenager (like me), that has either lost both parents, or more often lost only their MOTHER (not father). I'm wondering, should I be concerned, should I go see a shrink or something? A quick list of some of my characters, so you can see what I mean: -Caleb, 17, Father is a crime kingpin who shot his mother when he was 3. -Liam, 14, Father is locked in a dungeon halfway across the continent, mother is dead. -Joshua, 16, and Matthew, 19, Father is a time traveller, rarely at home, mother is dead. -Joran, 12, both parents are dead, raised by his uncle, leader of one of four great countries. -Wendy, 10, father abusive, mother out of the country most of the book. The list goes on. What does it mean?

What kind of mindset / personality type is this? I met someone at work the other day. This person does some low-level basic IT work for our firm. I've been trying to figure out what actually goes on in the heads of people like this. He's an entrepreneur, not very successful, runs a small 2-person IT firm. From what i gathered he dropped out of school before finally getting his high school diploma at the age of 28. He tries very, very, very hard to brag about the little he knows. e.g. my first degree is in electrical engineering, but he had the nerve to rudely and presumptuously tell me about the "mysterious complexities of how technology works". He was being serious, and there were other examples. Also he comes up with FANTASTIC tall tales and lies about "friends". Stories that literally make you gasp at the stupidity and absurdity behind them and make you wonder if he's retarded or loony. e.g. how some trader from bank ABC offered him $500K a month to use his firm as a holding company for illegal "black ops" trades. not realizing that I know the traders at bank ABC... And here he is repairing my computer for $50? The list goes on. Blatant lie after lie, the worst part of it all they were all flimsy see-throughs that anyone with half a brain could see through. From a psychologists' standpoint, what kind of personalities are these? The amazing thing to me is how they function in society. I want to feel bad for the guy, but he's just downright obnoxious.

If only America could just press a button and reset the entire Obama presidency so far and start over. Typically, Presidents don’t pick fights with pundits and talk radio hosts for obvious reasons. For the liberals? What started your mindset? I'm only curious and although i'm not a liberal i respect your right to be and i am not bashing you in anyway. When i was in high school about 6 years ago, i was jumped by african americans being that it was 80% african american and teachers always talked about civil rights. Even math teachers when it had nothing to do with. I put on a face to make sure i was last on the list for an ass whipping and act liberal by promoting white guilt. I was pretty much another Rev. Michael Pfleger. Eventually i tricked myself into the mentallity and wished i was black and looked up to Farrakhan and said if i was black i would be like him. About two years ago i broke down and realized that deep inside i was hurting myself by feeling evil by birth. I had no faith in God cause i wondered why he continued to make whites. He slept over for the night in my twin bed dorm room. I have a full-length mirror next to my bed so when I look to the side of my bed I can see my face clearly. I woke up first and look to the side to see my hair is a complete mess. I had on sweats and a t-shirt with my fuzzy slippers on. My shirt had coffee stains. I drooled that night so I woke up w/ the dried evidence showing on my cheek & didnt wash my face or brush my teeth yet. He woke up and I was looking through my closet for clothes to wear after I take a shower. He came up behind me and put his arms around my waist saying "Goodmorning beautiful". I turned around laughing saying "You must still be sleepy because Im not beautiful at the moment." He took a step back holding my hands and looked at me from head to toe. He took a step forward, put one hand on my cheek that had the drool evidence, put the other hand on my lower back and said "Goodmorning beautiful" and kissed me on me forehead, both cheeks and lastly my lips. 2.) We were with our friends one day eating lunch at a restaurant. They were jokingly making fun of me saying how my boyfriend is lucky I havent cooked for him otherwise he'd be in the hospital from severe food poisoning or how he's should swap gf's with them so he can get at least a homecooked meal once a week from a gf. I took it as a challenge so I went grocery shopping secretly. I got a recipe from a cook book and following the instructions but I must be bad luck or something because what I made looked nothing like the picture it in the book...I just finished as he came by my place after class. When he saw what I was doing and realized who it was for he ran up to me quickly with a huge smile on his face hugging me tightly. He kissed me a lot and continued to hug me while saying he was lucky. I felt bad that I didnt try harder so I told him that I would do it over. I went to go pick up the pan but he quickly grabbed it out of my hands and ran to the other side of the kitchen with a fork. I tried to grab it back to throw it away but he refused to give it up saying it was his. He started eating it and I was shocked with eyes wide open thinking "Omg, he's going to die" so I ran after him trying to retrieve the pan but he ran away while eating it. By the time I finally caught up to him he ate the whole thing. He said it was delicious and would love to eat anything I made him no matter how it looked. 3.) For Valentine's Day I made him a card. I felt a little embarrassed because Im not the creative type. That day he had a exam so I didnt see him until the evening when Valentine's Day was almost over. I was a little disappointed because I didnt get to spend the day with him. I also thought he forgot Valentine's Day since he was always in the library studying so I thought he had no time to think about a simple holiday so I made a simple gift. I told myself to not hold it against him or bother mentioning it because he has school & thats more important than a few hours of useless time. He came to my dorm right after his exam looking tired but happy it was over with. He said lets go to his place so he drop off his bag and we can get some take-out for dinner. I went with my card thinking I'll give it to him after dinner while watching movies online. When I get to his room he had flowers and colorful wrappers. I smiled thinking how grateful I was. When I opened the gift it was a box & it said something sexy so I automatically assumed lingerie & started to get upset bc I didnt want to wear it...I told him I wasnt going to wear it & he begged me to & how it would mean so much to him...after so much pressure I finally gave in. So I lifted the lid with a frown on my face thinking how terrible the situation turned into for me. When I looked inside I didnt see lace or frills. Instead I saw a beautiful picture frame and inside the frame was a collage of the places we went to, pictures of us, things that I liked to study, etc. He told me those were places he loves the most because to him he had the best memories of us. Is our "Greek mindset and mentality" to blame for our current situation? First off, do we agree that the era 1975-2008, was the modern golden era of Greeks in every field of life? Education in Greece reached incredible heights since 3 to 5 Greeks received University education, salaries that we hadn't even dream before, quality of life, the tourism, Greek merchant being top in the world, the expanding of Greek cuisine globally, sporting and athletic achievements with peak being all the titles in basketball, the multiple Olympic medals and the Euro 2004, cultural and artistic top events making Greece top spot in the world such as the organization of Olympics, constructions of great things as the metro, the Rio bridge and so many other things (too many great things happened in this era to mention) and we reach 2009 when the downfall started and seems to have no stop. How from our modern Renaissance as a nation and society came to 2011, i don't know exactly, but our corrupt politicians are not the only ones to blame obviously. The fact that we are top 5 country of EU in all those negative lists of smoking, drugs, car accidents, lack of exporting products etc for the last 5 years or so, is product of a whole society and nation, not few politicians, yes or no? QB: WILL WE FINALLY GET THE COMBINED 300 BILLION EUROS FROM GERMANY AND ITALY FROM WW2 DAMAGES? Is it too late to apply for Humber College Fall 2008 Term? Basically the courses I’m thinking about applying to are still open. But ideally is it smart to apply for them, when probably so many people applied before February. Is depression always an illness/irrational? I know some people who have depression, and that makes their life miserable. But what about people who already had miserable lives, and depression is their natural response to that. Is it still classified as an illness or mental disorder if the depression is completely rational? I understand that it still doesn't help and isn't considered desirable to be depressed even when your life perhaps warrants it, but would it then be the case that their depression is their real mindset, and we then try and delude them into a state of happiness? I'm sort of asking this question in response to hear others claim to be depressed, and listing all the reasons why their life sucks, with others then responding by denying all their claims. Now, I can understand why people would do this even if it were not true, but it just got me thinking that if all these things really were true, would their depression just be a logical and reasonable response to their life. It seems to me that people too often view a depressed outlook as an incorrect outlook. For examples: asking the question, why do i always feel ugly and unwanted. typical answer; your depressed, seek help rather than: because you are do people just avoid the latter because it is rude? But if that's true, aren't we misdiagnosing people?

It was posted without any name calling, etc. apparently someone deleted it because they did not like the factual content which in part listed her quotes when she denigrated various Secret Service agents, her views on how socialistic she wants our society to be, an insight into how she views her "friends" as basically sacrificial lambs, and the numerous (upwards of 75) murders and mysterious deaths linked to her while in Arkansas and in the White House. Once again proving the liberal mindset, that it is necessary to silence the opposition rather than have a free and open exchange of ideas. It's really sad, but the truth carries on because these facts are starting to circulate again via email and printed versions of these events. What's your opinion about people who, when they dislike a fact, they feel the need to obliterate it from existence? Is this just another typical liberal in action here on YA? As you can see, the typical liberal response, when you disagree with a fact: 1. Get it deleted and make believe it doesn't exist and, 2. Just claim that it's not true. - So sad and typical. If the statements are patently false, it would serve us all the better that they be left up there so we can all make up our own minds about them and then see them for what they are. Why don't video game nerds realize there's a world outside of the tv? They play obsessively, take offense to you not liking the same system/game as them. If you don't buy a certain system/game you're too poor to afford it (their parents buy theirs though, but I'm not complaining). It's not that you just don't want it and would rather put the money towards bills, a trip, etc. If you don't like a game it must be because you suck at it. It's unfathomable to think someone out there doesn't like what they like. If you don't like someone on the game, it's because you're jealous of them and what they have on the game. King of the Ring lacks zing? The King of the Ring Tournament, a "WWE" Event that used to showcase the best and most popular talent in the company in a large well put together tournament style competition that in the end would greatly promote the one lucky enough to win. This tournament typically culminated with weeks of promotion & buildup until the official Pay Per View where it would all come to an end. For some it pushed Mid-Card wrestlers into Superstardom and for others it earned a World Title shot and a defined place among the elite group of Main Event Superstars. Stone Cold Steve Austin, Brock Lesnar, Edge, Bret & Owen Hart all among the list of King's, all of whom are respected in one way or another by the fans. Yet what has become of this once illustrious tournament? In 2002 the Tournament disappeared from sight & mind for four years before making it's less then climatic return as a Smackdown-exclusive event before returning 2 years later as an inter-brand "event" This past year, the King of the Ring featured a mix of growing talent, established talent and dud Stars. Chris Jericho, MVP, Matt Hardy, Khali, Finlay, Regal, CM Punk & Hornswaggle. Now with the 2008 mindset in place on this entire list only CM Punk & Chris Jericho were being very effective, MVP I believe had yet to become as good in the ring as he is now. I am not biased because at the time both Punk & Jericho were faces but rather at the time they were the only ones with any real business in something like the King of the Ring Tournament, especially CM Punk who, being the MITB Briefcase holder had everything to gain & lose by winning or losing the Tournament. Nevermind the fact that the KOTR tournament only had 8 Superstars, 7 if you count Hornswaggle, and that it received no promotion and was held on what I believe was a normal 2 hour edition of Raw, but that in the end it was William Regal, a wrestler who had absolutely no business in the Tournament win. Now I won't argue that William Regal can still be somewhat effective in the ring and he did have his glory day, but his days are drawing to a near close and there is nothing outside of a sparse Mid-Card title reign (possibly) waiting for him. In my opinion putting him over was "stupid" as it didn't lead to anything but an odd, poorly booked power trip that is a decade past it's prime in the world of WWE. At one point in time the KOTR Tournament held up to 32 Supestars and was made out to be a big deal. They would spend the month promoting the event going through all the matches until the PPV rolled around. These days the KOTR is a mere after thought until William Regal comes out and the commentary team happens to mention it. In my opinion the King of the Ring event should be used to promote Mid-Carders to the High Card or Main Event level of competition. Especially now when there are 3 separate brands with multiple Superstars on each. If they do hold the King of the Ring tournament this year I would put at least 16 Superstars from all 3 Brands and use the event to promote each of them to see which ones could fit into higher level positions in the company. It could also be used for High Card wrestlers as a chance to push them into the World Title circuit. I have a theory, what do you think? I have been playing with the idea that there is no such thing as an action that is inherently or universally wrong. Sex, drugs, drinking, killing, speaking, fighting... The list goes on. Any actions that we can all take is NOT wrong or right because of the action, but because reasons behind making them. Speaking can be kind or abusive, as well as kind for the purpose of being self-serving and abusive for the sake of helping someone to see they acting stupidly. Killing, because you are stopping the suffering of another or yourself, versus killing to because the suffering of others is entertaining. Sex, to feel emotionally connected to someone we love, versus sex because one is seeking dominance or their own pleasure without real care about their partner. Can you see how what is right and what is wrong it almost arbitrarty beyond the idea that the motivation itself? The Bible tries to teach us what we should want. We are suppose to not WANT the bad. It's the mindset that matters.

If you're questioning your relationship, does it mean it's time to break up? Is questioning your relationship normal? My boyfriend and I have only been dating for 8 months and I honestly couldn't ask for anyone better. But lately I've been thinking about the future a lot and it scares me that I'm not as excited about it as I once was. I almost feel like I'm missing something. I'm still young (19, almost 20) and he's going to be 26 in December. Before you say something like "don't worry about getting 'tied down' at such a young age," I can't help it. I'm nothing like my peers and have always been able to relate much better with others who are older than me. I've always had a mature mindset. I made two "Pros and Cons" list pertaining to my boyfriend and our relationship and so far in both of them the pros outweigh the cons by a lot. Whenever I'm in doubt, I tend to make up the list and reasons why we're together and why I appreciate being with him and then I feel a bit better about ourselves and the doubts go away. Is it absurd to measure politicians by their discrepancies in the bedroom? America or some of them seemed obsessed with idea of family values, therefore if someone breaks them, they're marked off list. This is very much a 50s mindset and as many people can tell you who lived in those times, all these things still happened then, but they were just in totally secrecy. @Yigit: I pity you... @Angus: I didn't say any political affliction... @YB Logical: Not even going to dignify you with a retort. @Lag: Thank you. I doubt the stages happen at the same time based only on age but rather just mindset and experience and maturity level but i still wonder if there is a specific order of things.

What do you wish to become during this lifetime? Think hard! Sometimes I feel as if I won't be able to achieve what I want during this lifetime and actually have fun during its making. I say it like that because I feel as if I've been left so far behind that I'll be trapped into this time-slipping-away-mindset. I don't want to be a robot but this is my current effect. Why is it always or usually a guy's social-skills, conversation-skills, attitude, mentality, mindset, etc.? way of thinking, character, social-status, or he is high-status, his passion for something or things, the way he walks, sits, stands, breathes, talks, etc. in order for us guys to be boyfriend or relationship material, we have to have a good attitude, a positive attitude, or just overall comes down to the type of attitude we have, our way of thinking, mentality, our social skills, conversation skills, having our sh*t together, being involved with something or just having a life, be a productive person, see ourselves as an object of power, value ourselves, we have to walk right, stand right, sit right, talk right, think right, breathe a certain way, we have to have dreams and ambition, have a passion for something, we have to be extremely content with ourself and content, have high social status, be a fun or interesting person with a lot of hobbies, and the list goes on and on of what we have to be. We guys have to have high self-esteem, we have to believe in ourselves, have confidence, have fire and drive, have goals, ambition, a mission, purpose, be confidence with ourselves, our life and where we are going with it. Seriously, in order for a girl to be girlfriend material, she just has to be hot, cute, pretty, the personality does not come until later. It pisses me off, that guys have to work on themselves more than girls do in order to make themselves relationship, dating material. but seriously, why is confidence so attractive to women, girls? it's like a guy can look like Brad Pitt, David Beckham, Taylor Lautner, Tom Brady, Robert Pattinson, Orlando Bloom, Johnny Depp, Channing Tatum, but if he has no confidence and none of those traits listed above, they will never get laid or a girlfriend, date. a lot of guys, girls, are in serious, committed, long-term relationships in which they have been together for more than a year, more than 2 years, and why do you think the guys are with those hot, cute, attractive girls, as to why they initiated stuff with them in the first place? eventhough personality is important, why do you think it is almost all the time the hot, cute, pretty girls that always have a boyfriend? doesn't take rocket science to figure that out i know why girls, women are attracted to rich guys, but a lot of guys who are successful with girls, women, are not even rich, and they have those traits i mentioned above, why?
