How can I put myself into the mindset to write poetry quite quickly? I can only write poetry about my experiences because I am a very analytical and logical person, when i go into whimsical i just spite my creations. Apparently there is a mindset in which subconscious creative thoughts are brought to the fore. As an assignment I have to write a piece of poetry today and it is to be inspired by the romantic poetry movement. If any poets out there could give me any little tips about putting yourself in 'poetry mode' or any tips about writing poetry in general, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, everyone :)

How does one find the mindset to exercise? I'm roughly 60 pounds over my idea weight. I have a stationary recumbent bike that I occasionally ride, but nowhere nearly as often as I should to lose weight. I'm well aware of the physiological benefits of exercising, and how detrimental fat can be. But I'm wondering if anyone knows of a web site or book or something that can help me to get into the proper mindset to do it on a consistent basis. For comparison, I was wondering if there was something similar to Allen Carr's book on quitting smoking (which did wonders for me). Thanks!
What happens in a socialist nation when producers decide to adopt the same mindset? This is the fundamental problem I've seen with socialism that I've never been able to get around. Socialism works when the major producers continue to work, thrive, and profit, and are therefore able to carry the nation on their backs. But when EVERYONE in a nation approaches fiscal policy with a socialist mindset, how could it possibly be sustainable?
How does one get into a confident mindset? All through middle and high school I was teased for being ugly. Now I'm out of school and my body and face have changed a lot. How do I get out of this unhealthy mindset? Well, I'm starting to try to be a healthier person. I've tried some times before, and found some problems. One of them is my mindset of if I eat bad (fast food for instance), my whole healthy part of my day is ruined, and I tend to give up for the day. How do I stop doing this, and is part of it true, as long as I don't get it much? Can I still get lean and fit with sometimes indulging?
Why do you think theists have selective skepticism mindset? Most educated theists I talk with agree that skepticism is virtue. Most also agree that science is essentially an organized form of skepticism. But when scientific findings do not match religions' stories, they deem science to be the wrong one. It seems that they accept skepticism except for religious skepticism. Why do you think they have this selective skepticism mindset? Is it fear of punishment? Is it deep love towards what they believe? What are your thoughts?

My friend has suddenly become a misanthrope, how can you relate and be civil with this type of mindset? My friend is now into the universe and energy and all these ideas that life and human entity is deeper and more intricate for any human to ever comprehend. How can one's favorite color help determine one's mindset? I assure everybody I will NEVER misuse this info
Do you agree that poverty can be alleviated by having an entrepreneurial mindset? Most people believe that employment can be the primary source of financial support for the family. Not known to many that we are making other people richer by giving them our ideas and/or human strength. Once exhausted, we are left with nothing but a mere share on our salary and worst if we were not able to anticipate our health condition; we will just be at the mercy of our social security benefit and health care being not active anymore. Having the entrepreneurial mindset; ideas will be abundant and can be converted to financial resource. Having these ideas, one can be productive and be more financially active without exerting too much effort. Having your own business as a result of your ideas will definitely enrich you and the people working with you. Every development needs a change.

Is it safe to say that this mindset exists in all countries? For my county, the United States (which I am not bashing, by the way, as I love my country and it's constitution, but no country is perfect), I notice a couple mindsets that rub me the wrong way: 1. That our cultural norms do, or should, apply to everyone; and 2. That our laws and constitution do, or should, apply to all countries. Is this a mindset that is found in all countries, or are these uncomplimentary mindsets found in every country/nation?

Would a liberal arts education be better for a person with an entrepreneurial mindset? Throughout my life, I have always been the kind of person who has wanted to be 'their own boss.' I always have ideas for companies as well, most of which I do not have the resources to develop. Would a liberal arts education do more to allow this mindset to flourish? Or would a technical university do the same thing? Thanks! Specifically I am talking about two very good schools, one high end university, one high end liberal arts college
How do I get out of a negative mindset? Well when I get up to go to school at about 6.30am each morning, I feel really bad, almost as if I don't want to go to school, and want to go back to bed. I go to bed at around 10.30pm, so I get 8 hours of sleep. When I wake up in the mornings, I'm not tured, but I feel so worn down as if I would prefer to stay at home; almost as if I'm not bothered. Any way that I could get out of this mindset?
How do I change my mindset? I get grades in the 90%s, but my stupid brain has set that as the norm, so I don't feel a sense of accomplishment anymore when I get one in the 90s. I already take the highest possible classes and the work is definitely not easy.

Is it possible to have both an optimistic and realistic mindset? When I say optimistic, I do not mean the annoying and fake "happy-go-lucky" or "smile, everything is going to be great!" attitude. No, I'm asking is it possible to have the logical kind of optimistic mindset which can accept and deal with the harsh realities of the world, but yet still maintain a balanced (i.e. not overly positive or negative) outlook on life regardless?
How do you learn the "mindset" of a new language? When translating something from Spanish to English verbatim (and vice versa) it makes no sense. It seems as if it's more than just grammar and sentence structure, there's like a mindset that's being used. How do you learn that?
What is the right mindset for playing tennis? I've always thought that I was a good tennis player but some kind of mental barrier just stops me from playing at my best. What mindset would you have to be in, to think its ok to have your dog unleashed around the public? You hear all the time about dog bite victums on the news, and the owners saying "My dog is good, this is the first time its bit someone". I don't understand why dog owners feel the need to unleash their dog when their walking with it in public. It has ability of attacking someone else, and the ability of getting attacked by another dog. Why not keep everyone safe by keeping your dog leashed? Just because the law might say you don't have to, that doesn't mean you shouldn't excercise comment sense. Which says it would be a good idea. We as humans have the ability to communicate effeciantly through signs and launge. A dog wags it tail, its happy. A dog is upset, it might skip the snarl, and go straight into attack mode.
Is anyone else incredibly frustrated with this horrible mindset? You know, the 'Hollywood' mindset where many believe that if you're not getting countless box office hits, doing mainstream stuff, or if you're not in the news enough then you're a 'no-body'. The mindset where many believe that if someone has even the slightest bit of weight that they are 'fat cow', the mindset where if a celebrity has the audacity to age even the slightest that they are ugly and old and 'time has not been good to them'....THAT kind of mindset. It is disgusting! What is even more ridiculous is the fact that these people try to justify thinking that way. How can you justify it, really?
