Pure O and the universal law of attraction.? Hello! I have been suffering from Pure O and I have a problem with extremely intrusive thoughts. I am a firm believer in living positively and like the idea of "the secret". A.K.A the law of attraction, but had a recent and very strong spike when I was ruminating about the thoughts becoming actions bit. If you were ever treated for an anxiety disorder and suffered from intrusive thoughts, you know that everyone tells you " a thought is a harmless thing, it can't hurt you or others. Can you use the Law of Attraction to get a specific person to like/love you? My bad. What if a person wants something impossible - like mangoes growing on an apple tree. I know this sounds very idiotic but I have been using the LOA very efficiently until recent times when a few things that I wanted did not happen that way. Yes,I used the law in 100% correct manner.I tried making up excuses to myself like- maybe I did not 'feel' it while asking for it etc etc. but I know I meant every word of it when I'd asked.So the harsh truth is that the LOA does not work everytime.The book,The Secret compares the LOA to the Law of Gravity,claiming that the LOA is as universal as the Law of Gravity.
