What are your thoughts on the "law" of attraction? I put law in quotes because technically it isn't a law but I still find it interesting.

what is the law of attraction? I have been reading alot of quotes from Jesus Christ and other really successful people like the Rockefeller family and they all seem to link to what the law of attraction states. for example Jesus Christ “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” “What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul.” “For we walk by faith, not by sight. and countless others. But my point is, are they really the same terminology? I guess since we live in a much more different time period it sounds a bit different? but in reality its literally the same thing? if Jesus Christ actually said that, and if you believe in the law of attraction, dont you think that fits perfect? whatever the law of attraction is, i think its proof that god does exists.. i have read mostly all the law of attraction books, Ive been studying this concept for about 5 years already, and i have been putting it to the test and it really works when you apply it correctly. its crazy i perceive reality in a way others wont, sometimes i feel different from other people. I had a teacher that taught anthropology and he would always seem to stumble upon how thoughts are the source of what makes us human, and you can just tell he was really passionate about it, anyways the first time he mentioned it, i felt like it was somewhat linked to law of attraction, and for some reason he would always glance at me like if i knew something others dident. and i felt like he wanted to tell me something but he recently passed away so thats always going to stick to my head. :/

Past greats who used the Law of Attraction? Ok i watched the movie The Secret, and i beleive in the law of attraction thing now. It really all makes sense why optimists are better people than pessimests. And i do think there is some scientific basis behind this. Now it mentions that a lot of people in the past have used it. I mean it takes a bunch of quotes from very successful people and makes you realize them. Now what are some people that used it. I was thinking mabye past conquerers like the Romans or Napoleon or alexander the great or even Divinci. Did they all use this power too?

What do people think about this 'Law of Attraction' as described in The Secret dvd? They quote several great thinkers who also seemed to believe in this law of attraction. It claims that we attract everything that happens to us and if we know how to use it, we can attract anything that we desire.

law of attraction? what do you think about it? i think it's really bullshlt, you focus on what you want and act as if you already have it, and it comes there eventually? or you fulfill your needs first before you fulfill others, because sacrifice wont benefit everyone, where as filling up your stomach will make you strong to find food for others, rather than going without food? i found it in the book The Secret that my aunt was reading, and being raised in a christian household and going to church i would think sacrifice is important, as well as helping out others as much as yourself. i'm not sure i'm quoting the book exactly, but if you've read it before, what do you think? law of attraction states if you want a husband, park on one side of the garage, clear out some space in your closet, sleep on one side of the bed, make breakfast for 2 each morning--overall in general act as you are married. and baam it will come. i don't get it

do the law of attraction (/the secret) and Bible contradict each other? i know some verses totally support each other (please don't quote verses that support the LOA, that's not what i mean), but the IDEA behind it..... do they contradict each other???

Pls teach me the way how to be a boss? I'm from Malaysia and I found that I not going to far by working for other people. I have tried to be patient all this while and most of my working team mate is very nice to me. However i'm notice that some people is not very friendly and they always think about themselves. When talking about power and money, they really look us down. Furthermore, my parent is not working and my some of my family member is on medical treatment. I have learnt the law of attraction and the quote from Bruce Lee 'There is no limitation as limitation'. I'm really need help or somehow a good advice how I should improve my life at least my target is to become a boss. I don't have much time left and I'm really feel bad if I can't turn this dream become a reality. What you think, you become. What do you think of when you see that? I think of it like, law of attraction. Because, if you think positive, positive things will steadily come. If you think negative, you will gain a negative mindset. I love the quote, and I live by it. I'm thinking about getting it as a tattoo but in Thai. :)

Why are somethings heavier than others? It baffles me, I understand some things are heavier than others, like a bar of lead vs a bar of butter the same size. But WHAT actually makes it heavier. I used to think it was a magnetic attraction of gravity... but just dirt and water are heavier than alot of stuff and dirt isn't magnetic or conductive and water fluidly takes up alot of space, but it isn't that dense. See where I'm coming from?!?!? I'm looking for theory or insight. We, here, do not adhere to the belief of Karma, any "perilous missions" to rescue humanity on behalf of a particular deity, superstitions, soul mates/twin flames, dogma, Law of Attraction, Ego, Satan, Christ, or God; yet we do believe in the existence of an After Life, reincarnation, and spirit beings. Am i a socialpathic person? My name is Dave, And i got a problem. I talk to myself in the mirror like the person in the mirror is another person. Someone i can really trust. I get addicted to girls that are unique. the ones i cant think of anything else but just to be with them. My father isnt in the picture, and when i visit him its like a holiday for him. cause all he has to live for is work and a golden labador named Maui. When i do something stupid, my body wants satisfaction, so sometimes i hurt myself. I once bashed my face into a mirror out of anger against my sister. She wouldn't leave me alone, and i warned her. i told her i had a bad day and to leave me alone. she wouldn't listen and she just bitched at me. so i punched a hole in her wall and laughed. I have the fear of losing the things i want the most. I've tried the law of attraction, and it has failed me. I believe in the quote " If you want it, you must claim it." but i have fallen to a split man with the mind of a pacifist, and a demon just waiting for blood. i need help. I dont want to have my heart break anymore.

Can I turn a realist into an optimistic? One of my best friends is severely pessimistic....but he calls it realistic. I have tried and tried and tried to get him to see the better in life an teach him he can have whatever he wants...I have tried to explain The Law of Attraction to him many times, but he wont listen. I have quoted Will Smith, for God's sake! I have tried to change his point of view on life, but he wont even bother trying. He says that its almost to the point where he feels bad for me because im so optimistic about everything. He says im so consumed in seeing the good, i don't see reality. Truth is, he is so consumed in being a pessimist, he doesn't wanna bother to take risks and enjoy life because "there are no disappointments". I want to convince him that nothing is impossible, but he's so hard headed he doesn't wanna even try to listen to me. Is there any way I can change this boy's mindset on life? Why not be positive? My mom is dying of Bone marrow cancer, it's progressing daily. I live by the law of attraction and try to share it as much as possible. It's the most aggrevating thing when people doubt the secret because (QUOTE from an answer on my last question) "children are getting raped and theirs no reason to be positive about that"....i guess i could give up hope and watch my mom die because there is no reason to be positive, good idea? uhh noo! All i want to do is share the secret because its worked for me, and i want to testify! Without God and positivety, Neither me or my mom would be here today. I KNOW this because before i surrendered to either, i was a drink and a line of cocaine away from rehab. Finding the secret saved my life and asking each day that my mom can stay here on earth with me is probably why she hasnt already passed. So for those of you who posted previously that my life is probably just a "cake walk", your right, it is, because even with my circumstances i stay positive!

Follow the 10 commandments NO SEX sins that’s the easiest way to be attacked, and porn is a sin its adultery and lust, by watching them your contributing to their sin. Don’t do it! Greed is idolatry as described in Colossians 3:5 Don’t hit people (This doesn’t include spanking your children) Occultists have the right to spiritually attack you if you do and depending how bad you hurt them technically they can kill you. Don’t argue with people. In the occultist world if your talk down to or are disrespected you have the right to spiritually attack someone, unless you are clearly at fault. (Remember they paid a high price to have the respect and pleasures of this world.) Don’t get drunk, do drugs or go to night clubs Keep in mind spiritual warfare is a mental game; you make yourself vulnerable to attacks when you’re not in the right mind set. Stay away from the night clubs it’s a bad environment just because you may be in the right frame of mind doesn’t mean everyone else is. But what’s far more important is watching what you say it is written _by your words you will be exalted and by your words you will be condemned._ Now this has to do with the laws of attraction what you put out there will come back to you. Well this is true to some extent its actually God allowing to have the desires of your heart which is carried out by angels or demons. Now this can be done without the person knowing for example. Take an artist who makes a song and video about cheating. By the artist airing the music and videos the artist has unknowingly set events in motion that will cause them to be cheated on months down the road. Yeshua has told us what could happen if you use it in a positive way by having faith. Math 21:21 His will not our will OK for those that had someone see their future by using terror cards or etc. or the law of attraction is being used against you, all is not lost. If someone sees your future and knows what there doing the event will come to pass because demons can see what you’re going to do, key words being WHAT YOUR GOING TO DO. But when you do things according to His will the events can be changed. Remember demons were cut off from heaven they cant see what the Father does, so by being led by the Holly Spirit and applying Psalm 41:1-3 the event can be changed. So what do you think?

Such a depiction, structurally speaking, arrives at a relevant placing as it precedes her ultimate sin in disobeying the Marquis. An interesting distinction Carter makes with regard to females in her narratives is between those of children and women. One could argue that whilst children in the stories lack control and remain within the passivity of traditional Gothic females, conversely it is the women who are able to powerfully control their own destiny and escape from the seemingly impossible powers of the male pursuer. To illustrate and exemplify this point, firstly we can consider The Snow Child where the young girl is destroyed because of the oppression from the jealous Countess. Though there is a lack of clarity whether the child is simply am illusory 'object of his [the Count's] desire' or a real being we can nonetheless notice the degradation and sexual objectification that she is subject to which peaks when the Count "thrusted his virile member" into the dead girl. what is going on with me and what can be done about it? I am 24 and don't want to settle yet. I joined a dating site for the craic and met this guy called Mike months and months after meeting him on the site. We have spent time together twice and I stayed two nights the last time which was in September or October. Mike wants to find out the truth about the world and himself, the same as me and is interested in the past, the same as me. His parents have raised him to be independent and I am sure that if in the future, I had children with him, he would train them to be independent and not telling them to be careful which we both have learned, puts fearful ideas, expectations, thoughts and images into your head and as the law of attraction and the law of the Conscience state, if the child puts allot of focus on that image then the child will attract that dangerous experience into their life so we must only plant good thoughts into their heads, even if bad things happen. Anyway my point is I want a father like that for my children and for me. Mike has not picked out any flaw in me yet, he has been really patient with me, a good listener, he has made my time for me even when he was busy and made me feel safe, happy and special as well as regretting going home. Are "haters" meant to be friendly reminders about our lives? I know it sounds crazy - how can "negative" people (who do not like you, put you down for any of your happiness/successes, have ill intentions, etc...) be friendly reminders? I've seen it happen and had it happen to me first hand. It was weird to think - these positive, happy people, who worked very hard deserved all the good things coming back at them. However, there were a few ill-intentioned people who were "haters". From what I learned, happy and successful people are always happy for others who are also happy and successful; those who can't are obviously not happy with themselves. I wondered if the law of attraction stated that positive things come to positive people then why do they sometimes have "haters"? What is it about them that attracts negative? Someone said that if there are some people not happy with your success when you are, it means you're doing the right now. I've heard this but how is this true? Then does that mean that "haters" are just reminders that you're doing the right? Are they there to remind you that you're blessed and because of your success and happiness, the unhappy people become "unhappier"? I also read this quote from Deepak Chopra that may apply, "Whatever relationships you have attracted in your life at this moment, are precisely the ones you need in your life at this moment. There is a hidden meaning behind all events, and this hidden meaning is serving your own evolution.” Thoughts? BQ: Once you have a feeling and recognize a "jealous" or "resentful" person, do you head for the hills? It's good to be protective of yourself but is it considered cowardly to do so and "run"?
